$300K Goes to Universities for The Help America Vote College Program

Nineteen schools were granted a portion of $300,000 by the U.S. Election Assistance Commission _(EAC)_ to train college volunteers how to help with the local election process.

_”Elections continue to require many more trained poll workers, and these grants will train the next generation,” said EAC Chairman Paul DeGregorio. “We encourage America’s college students to answer the call and provide the critical human resources needed to make democracy happen.”_

The list of schools is primarily composed of Community Colleges. Some of the schools included are California State University, University of Baltimore, University of Central Florida, University of Texas, and the University of Virginia. For more information, check out “www.eac.gov”://www.eac.gov
