5 Time-Saving Tips for College Women

Life is definitely stressful for the average college gal. Juggling classes, a job, an internship, a significant other, or a cat, and still managing to keep it together. While some girls thrive on deadline adrenaline, many others have barely got it together enough to remember the deadline. Whether you are the former or the later, these tips will help you save time doing your average tasks, so you can have more time to devote to your cat, or significant other.

1. Make Lists

Lists are the best timesaving tools. They will seriously change your life. The best place to store your lists is in through the Notes app on your smartphone. If you use an iPhone, store your to-do lists in your Notes app and they will automatically sync with the email account you have connected with your phone. I prefer pen and paper, though. Nothing is as satisfying as crossing through an item on a to-do list!

2. Put everything in a calendar

If it’s in your calendar, then you will not forget it. It’s as simple as that. Well, maybe not, but keeping all your tasks and deadlines in one spot will save you the time of trying to find them all and it will be easy to memorize them all.

3. Get ready for the morning the night before

Taking an extra 15 minutes at night to prepare for the next day will radically change your day. Even just setting at your outfit the night before could save you many minutes. Plus, having everything ready before will prevent you from running around, trying to find everything, and opening the possibility that you may ruin our perfect ensemble.

4. Use your phone’s timer to keep you on track

Before setting down to complete a task, use your phone to set a timer. When it goes off, you’re done. Knowing that you have a certain set of time to accomplish a task will help you stay on track.

 5. Practice SelfControl

I am talking, of course, about the app for your computer. Simply download the file from the website and then select the websites you want to block and for how long, and you won’t be able to see them for that whole time. Goodbye, Facebook! SelfControl is for only for Macs; Freedom is available for Windows, Mac, and Android. Without any distractions, you’ll be able to spend less time on your work.

These tips will help you to shave off anywhere from a couple minutes to 30 minutes. Any amount of time saved is a good amount of time saved. How you spend all this extra time is entirely up to you. May I suggest some pet bonding time?
