Chegg to Offer Local Deals for College Students
Chegg, the self-proclaimed "Netflix" of textbooks, is adding daily deals to their offering for College students. The company announced this addition to their site yesterday. The program will start in July with deals from Dr. Pepper, Hewlett-Packard and Capital One for students in a variety of interests and categories. This is yet another competitor in the already full (in our opinion) daily deal site market — do you think Chegg will be successful? The company claims that their success will be linked to the fact that deals are student-specific, instead of the generalized Groupon or Living Social deals.
