Trend Report: Tribal Jewelry

Take a walk on the tribal side with the newest trend in jewelry. Characterized by feathers, rust looking metals, and colors like brown, turquoise and red, these earrings have a bohemian feel and are super cute. This style pulls from the 70s trend of wearing Native American inspired jewelry, again mostly characterized by feathers and antiqued metals. As the snow melts into spring, these bright, warm colored accessories are a great piece of transitional jewelry.

Free People captures the essence of this trend with their Alta Stone Earrings ($28) This pair of silver earrings has a simple, vintage look with the added brightness of the red and turquoise stones. The metallic feathers and vivid colors have earned these earrings a 5-star rating. Lucky Brand’s leather bracelet with the same silver, turquoise and red color scheme is the perfect accessory to complete this outfit.

For something more simple, Urban Outfitters has the Geometric Bead Feather Drop Earrings ($20).  The feathers on this pair are natural and off-white. The stacked beads add a little complexity and these earrings are great for everyday wear.

If you’re looking for a cheaper option, Forever 21 has adopted the tribal fashion trend for only $4.80. The Tribal Hoop and Feather Earrings combine gold hoops with shorter feathers. This more ornate piece of jewelry is a great accessory for Saturday night.
