As much as I love summer, I get super-jiggy when the weather starts to cool down (back-to-school shopping ot bust!). For me, there's nothing better then sporting a cool new outfit AND (drumroll please) the perfect pair of shoes. Right now, I'm totally feeling the retro fabulusness of wingtips. Mix a little 1940's style with a masculine edge, and what you have is the perfect footwear essential for sophisitcated coeds like moi.

Right now, I'm seriously drooling over these Type Z Vanna wingtip black heels from Zappos.com ($69.50). The patent leather makes the shoe sexy, but the wingtip design makes it sweet– AND work appropriate (bonus points!). Picture them paired with your favorite leggings, or go all Ivy League overachiever and add them to amplaid skirt, turtleneck, blazer, and tights combo.

Confession: Jessica Simpson could put her name on almost anything and I’d buy it — but these “Mely” flats ($60.95) make me swoon and then some! All I can picture in my head is me cruising across campus in an oversized sweater and skinny jeans with these shiny babies leading the charge. (Personally, I love the “tarnish” color- a cross between rose gold and gunmetal.)

And finally….leave it to Urban Outfitters to go all Bonnie & Clyde on us this season. These Kimchi Blue tan and beige wingtip heels ($48.00) are a retro throwback complete with the perfect height AND the perfect price.
