Confessions of a College Woman
This week's confession is "Maya" from New York University. She says:
"I did really well on this short fiction piece I used as my senior thesis last semester – a story about a girl suffering the guilt of cheating on her boyfriend with his older brother. The truth is it's not really fiction, it's based on my life circa 2005. If my ex ever finds reads it, he'll be devastated but I'd still love to see it published somewhere."
Rajul's Take:
As a writer, I definitely understand that ecstatic feeling you get when you write something substantial. But be careful, especially if you still communicate with your ex. Make sure you change the names around completely (No using "Bryan" instead if "Ryan") because that's just tacky! Think about if you were in his shoes…
