My professional dream is to help prevent women being victims of sex trafficing.
What is your professional dream?
My dream is to conduct research on sex trafficking and the internet. The  research will specifically focus on traffickers use the internet to promote and sell the victims. My goal is that through my research I will be able to bring awareness to a very real issue along with helping to prevent others from becoming a victim.
How will you use the 1000 Dreams Scholarship?
I will use this scholarship to help cover costs of my research and presenting my research at academic conferences. The scholarship will help cover conference expenses along with research material expenses.
How is this helping you get closer to your dream?
This is helping by providing the necessary funds to be able to present at conferences which will help me bring awareness to a larger audience.
What advice do you have for other young women looking to go for their dreams?
Do not let fear and doubt stop you from going for your dreams. Set goals and dates for achieving them. Write your dream down on sticky notes and place them all over your home so that you can have daily reminders.
Any setbacks? How did you get around them?

A setback was finding the research that was relevant to my project. There was a lot of information on sex trafficking but not a lot specially on the use of the internet in sex trafficking. Using different search keywords, I was able to find the relevant research I was looking for.
What’s next for you? What is your next goal?
My next goal is to present my research at academic conferences in the Spring. Presenting at conferences will allow me to bring awareness to Sex Trafficking in America and potentially save someone’s life.
