DIY Hand Sanitizer For College Students 21 and Older

A lot of attention has been given to the fact that the swine flu is spreading like crazy across college campuses all over the country, and since we already know keeping your hands clean is one of the number one ways to avoid germs, we thought we’d offer up this cool recipe we found on AOL’s DIY Life Blog.

Obviously alcohol is the number one ingredient in most hand sanitizers, but did you know you can make your own substituting in something from your own bar stash? According to the recipe, you can use vodka, aloe vera gel, and your favorite perfume oil to create a unique blend that’s 100 percent uniquely YOU.

Recipe:

* 1/4 cup aloe Vera gel
* 1/4 cup vodka
* 10 drops fragrance oil – The Body Shop has a really nice selection of body oils that cost $16 each.

You then mix it all together and store it in a portable pump bottle you carry with you. Word is, the mixture lasts for quite awhile, so you don’t have to worry about depeleting your weekend party goodies.
