Haitian Disaster Inspires DIY Initiative

There’s been messages of hope. There’s been news of death. Throughout the weekend, we at U Chic found ourselves frustrated with the ongoing coverage of disaster in Haiti. We’d already given money to two different charities, but we wanted to find some way for you to give back without going broke in the process.

(Cue Etsy.com.) Our favorite handmade shopping site has created an online marketplace for Craft Hope where die-hard DIY fans or creative girls like you can shop or donate your projects to help Haiti’s citizens. One-hundred percent of all proceeds generated from this initiative will go to Doctors Without Borders in Haiti.
