After citing "irreconcilable differences", Britney Spears filed for divorce against her husband / rap sensation (?), Kevin Ferdaline.

They can be seen in the image to the left, looking their absolute best. 

The couple's image in the media has been rather humorous. Spears shown as a fading star and Ferdaline seen as a fool mooching off his wife's success to catapult his own. And we've seen where that's gone.

And now, alas, the couple is splitting up, but not without some intense legal battles, as Spears plans to fight for full custody of the couple's two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
