Ivy League Schools Ban iPads on Campus?

It’s pretty sad when brilliant minds of the Ivy League aren’t equipped to keep up with the latest technology. Quick on the heels of the iPhone scandal comes word that the iPad, (Mac’s latest and greatest invention) is being blackballed by the likes of Harvard, Princeton, and Cornell. According to varying reports online, the schools are up in arms over the fact that the devices are eating up too much bandwidth and disrupting school server access for students and faculty. While it’s not clear if any of the schools have outright banned the iPad, technical alerts have been issued as school tech geeks struggle to fix the problem.

Happily, not every school fears the technology boogey man: Seton Hall and the University of George Fox in Oregon are both making powers moves to integrate the device into their curriculumn by fall semester.
