Ever wonder how it all began? The poking, the friending, and even the stalking? According to ComingSoon, “The Social Network,” a film about Mark Zuckerberg and the creation of Facebook, will be released on October 15, 2010. Sony’s Columbia Pictures has set a date and even some of its cast in this Aaron Sorkin (writer and creator of “The West Wing” and “Sports Night”) film.

The founder of the social network himself, Mark Zuckerberg, is to be portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg. Justin Timberlake will play Sean Parker, the Napster co-founder who became Facebook‘s founding president. The last piece of the immediate Facebook puzzle, Andrew Garfield will play Eduardo Saverin, the Facebook co-founder who fell out with Zuckerberg over money.

Over the summer, Variety announced that the film’s director will be David Fincher, who last directed “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and is known for”Fight Club”.

The film will show the evolution of the social networking site and how Zuckerberg started the whole thing right from his sophomore Harvard dorm in 2004. We all use it, we all obsess over it and now we can finally find out how it all began. Of course, the book, “The Accidental Billionaires,” by Ben Mezrich, author of bestseller “Bringing Down the House” (inspiration for the movie “21”) is also a viable option for finding out how it all began, but we do love our movies.
