Just as boots belong to the winter season, sandals and flip-flops are an ever-present sign of warm weather, relaxing by the pool and lazy summer days.  And with the return of those cloudless and tropical days also comes the return of a trend favorite: gladiator sandals.

While this footwear trend isn’t brand new, it’s a delightful return to chicsters everywhere. Plus, with the trend’s growing popularity, there comes a variety of styles and prices, meaning anyone can get a hold of this fun summer craze.  For those of us who are still sticking to our college budget lifestyles, check out American Eagle's Troy Gladiator Sandal. At only $29.50, these gold flats will definitely grab some attention. Pair with jean shorts and a casual top, and you’re ready for a fun afternoon in the sun.

This bold choice adds some metal embellishments, a slight wedge heel and a zippered back in order to give this popular look a little more spice.
