Trend Report: Hot Makeup Hues for Winter

With spring a couple months away, it’s time to start looking for the perfect makeup products to compliment you skin, eyes and the return of warm, sunny days.

Lips: Brown lipstick is back, but in much more subtle, natural hue than those that were popular in the late 90’s. Stay away from red-tinted or rusty browns and look for a cooler shade. Try MAC’s lipstick in Photo Satin, for the perfect sable pucker.

Eyes: While bright, bold shades are making a return to the catwalk this season, a soft, smoky eye is still a hit with most beauty fanatics. To get the best of both worlds, try Tarte’s Flower Child Natural Eye Shadow Palette. With eight different eye shadows to compliment any eye color, you can get the look you want without spending big money on twenty different products.

Cheeks: Since most of us will have to wait until summer for a sun-kissed tan, let your bronzer have a break, and give your cheeks a rosy touch. Try out Nars’ Cactus Flower’ cream blush for a dream-like finish that will add a luminous sheen to your cheeks.

Fingertips: This season’s polishes are fun, flirty, and guaranteed to leave your french manicure in the dust! Paint on Sally Hansen’s “Green With Envy” or opt for OPI for Sephora’s “Too Good For Him.” Both colors are over-the-top and will make your fingers pop!
