University of Michigan Rolls out iPhone Apps for Students

Getting around Ann Arbor just got easier for University of Michigan students, thanks in part to the school's brand new arsenal of iPhone apps that rolled out last week. The new free U of M application for iPhones and iPads includes bus infomation, dining hall menus, access to digital lectures, and much more:

"Magic Bus" – Get real-time access to the U of M buses, including route mapping and the next arrival at your stop.

Menus – Wanna know what your dining hall is serving today- or Friday? Download the school's dining hall menus for instant access to your dorm's daily lunch specials and more.

Directory – Need to track down a prof's office hours or touch base with your lab partner? Access U of M's student/faculty/staff online directory and then add contacts to your address book.

News/Events – Check out the latest U of M news, plus a calendar of events of all the concerts, plays, and activities going on around campus.

Buildings – Locate your classrooms and lecture halls with this easy-to-use mapping system designed to help newbies get around without the drama.

iTunes U – Download audio and video lectures for all your classes.

(Bonus: Want to annoy your roommate? Just click on the app title and blast the U of M fight song…or just shake your phone to hear the "key play keys.")
