White House Filled with “Glee” Over Easter Visit

If a People Choice, Golden Globes, and a SAG Award aren’t enough to convince you that Glee is the hottest thing since sliced bread, how about an invite from the First Lady and an album that’s totally kicking Lady Gaga‘s ass on the music charts?

The cast of the hit TV series got a double dose of good news this week when word came that First Lady Michelle Obama had extended a personal request for the crew to sing at the annual White House Easter Egg Hunt on April 5th. To say that the actors were stoked might be a bit of an understatement.

“I’m so excited to go to the White House! And this time I’m invited, so security won’t be chasing me!” Chris Colfer (Kurt) tweeted excitedly as soon as the news broke. Meanwhile Kevin Mchale (Artie) was a bit more chill, simply stating on his feed, “white. house. obama. yes. kbye.”

It’s hard to top that kind of performance, but the gang seems to be kicking butt on the other side of the pond as well. Glee: The Music Volume One just jumped to the top of the U.K. charts after ONE WEEK of sales.

Drop a slushy on our heads if you want, but our response to this requires a mash-up of epic proportions: Don’t Stop Believing in yourself. Just Bust a Move, guys, Keep Hanging On, and most importantly, Take a Bow.
